I gotta make sure to include the fact that neither Sunny or I had ever been to The Plaza Theatre before, but what a cool friggin venue! It reminds me of the old Wills Pub, how theres a completely separate area to listen to music and you could check out all of the arts and crafts booths in the lobby without even checking out the main acts. I will say this much: Sonar, Phil Bonanno from Snafu, Kaleigh Baker… they ALL have something pretty damn amazing happening, and they made the trip worth the while.
Also, thanks to Dave Mann for inviting us out to check out the event. We enjoyed ourselves. I would’ve liked to see a little more diversity in some of the bands there, but overall a positive experience, and the turnout was excellent – around 700-1000 people! For a local festival, i’ll take that any day of the week.
